    Hello,

Is it possible to remove the mainborn and components of my laptop from the original case and reinstall them into and completely new case?

If so, where can I purchase new cases?

    thanks.

Yes, but you have to buy an identical case (same model). Normally a notebook chassis (case) is not a single part like a desktop. There is a bass unit, to which the motherboard and other parts are connected; A palm rest surrounding the keyboard, and two parts for the screen : lid and the bezel. Completely moving everything in to a new chassis is going to be a tough job. I wouldn’t recommend it to a beginner, because most manufacturers don’t specify disassemble instructions in their user manuals. Only manufacturer I know that has a very detailed publically accessible documentation with complete disassemble and reassemble instructions is DELL.

BTw Why do you want to do that ? If you want to replace a damaged part (i.e Palm rest or lid) then change only that part. Finding all the part for your notebook can be very hard too. Check eBay or those online notebook spare parts websites.
