Not when I initially mentioned it, but now I do:

    MacBook Air Geekbench

    iPad Air Geekbench

Yes, I'd have to say an ARMv8-A dual-core CPU is about twice as fast as an Intel Merom x86 dual-core low-power CPU.

That benchmark has the Ipad air 2 chip matching some modern dual core i7s.

Granted, GeekBench isn't the most scientific CPU benchmark around, but it's fairly accurate. No matter the situation, I'm sure today's ARM chips in general are about twice as fast as low-power dual-core x86 chips from about 7-8 years ago.

I don't think they are, they are highly optimised, but for a more general requirement for a fully featured OS they would not handle it as well.

But I still need to carry those Japanese language textbooks and workbooks lol!

This is another reason why I needed a new one :S

This is why I am hoping to have a 13/14/15 inch laptop with a TB3 port at least, imagine the eGPU potential with that! Who needs a certain Graphics Amplifier or Gaming Dock? ;)

    She's a beauty isn't she?! :D

Why can't we have the best of both worlds:

Its either two GTX980M OR one GTX 980...having 4K OR g-sync...

The P7xxDM(-G) BIOS already supports the new card, but it'll depend on Clevo also offering a regular MXM sized variant to the end-user...
