I recently purchased a new laptop. The Acer R13 convertible. One of the selling points for me was the RAID 0 M.2 configured hard drives and the speed they produced (close to PCIe) while still allowing me to use them as two separate hard drives in the future if needed(?)

The problem I'm having is that the speeds are half of what I was seeing in the reviews (MobileTechReview, NotebookCheck) and I am not sure how to fix this. I've added some pictures to showcase what I mean. Mine are at the very bottom.

Please, if anyone has any information on this, it would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

    Here are their speeds:

    And here's what I'm seeing. Both x32 and x64 on version 5.1.2 and x64 on version 3.0.4

The difference is that you're testing each drive individually and the notebookcheck 'scores' are testing the drives in RAID0.

How do I test them in RAID0? It's supposed to come preconfigured in RAID0 and even shows available space of 237GB?

RAID0 will have the capacity at double what the single drive capacity is.

Right now, it does not seem your system was shipped as you ordered?

@ericc191 it seems to be running in RAID1 instead of RAID0, unless you have second drive of the same capacity visible in system - then it's simply JBOD.

I called Acer and they said something isn't working right if it's not showing read speeds of 900+, so sending it back. Thanks for the help, guys!

I'm not sure why, but I keep double posting on this site. Sorry!
