    @Clutch what version of SMB does your Samba server run? Also, are you using Plex for a multitude of devices, or for Chromebook alone? If latter, what is the benefit of Plex vs just playing the file from network share directly?

    I use the Plex because I also use it with the Xbox, Android, ios, windows, and Chromebook.

    I am not sure what version of Samba. I got it from the software manager on mint.

    Got the Plex working. It says it is not available outside the network but it is...

    Might explain why it should have been working but was not.
