I've got 400 bux, and I need to buy a new netbook !
I'll we using them for web browsing, music, movies, maybe some games.
I've narrowed it down to some decent competitors, so here they are:

    The Sylvania G
    http://www.amazon.com/Sylvania-GNET...1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1218402901&sr=8-1

$311, really cheap, 1.2 Ghz VIA, 1GB Memory, 30GB HDD, Small Screen though
How do the VIA processors hold up ? On CNET they say the 800Mhz celeron in the eeepc is better than the 1.2 Ghz Via, is that true ?

    The Acer Aspire One
    http://www.amazon.com/Acer-Aspire-L...1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1218403315&sr=1-1

$379, 1.6 GHZ Intel ATOM cpu, only 8 gb, 512mb memory, Bigger screen

Or any of the Asus eeepc's under $400.

    Other suggestions are appreciated.
    THANKS.

The Dell E is likely to be announced this week alongside Dell's Montevina offerings; personally I'm holding out for it.

If that's the case, just go buy a dozen spiral notebooks at walmart. You'll even have money left over to buy pencils and a calculator.

I didn't even think Sylvania made computers. I mean they are terrible at making blenders. God only knows how the netbooks will work.

If you want a small one get the wind or eee, but otherwise I would suggest looking on Craigslist for a used one. I got a used HP Pavilion DV9000t with2gb ram and 2.1ghz processor for 300$

its just a rebrand of Everex.... not sure about the next one Sylvania is going to make.

MSI Wind is about $500-$550... and only if you can actually find one that is in stock lol

Good to hear. Sylvania's name on a notebook is just terrible.
