    That's over $9 a gallon!

And here I complain about it costing me $3.65 a gallon.

(Don't Europe use the kilometers per liter standard?)

Most European gasoline is taxed to death, the tax paying for infrastructure and public transportation. Which makes me glad I only spend like 30-35 dollar in gas for a couple weeks for my Integra.

L/100km usually. Fuel consumption instead of efficiency.

I converted that for my friend last week so the prices were still pretty much valid :D I'd say at least 85% of the price is just taxes if not even more. Yet places like Norway have even higher prices.

US has about 30-80 cents in taxes per gallon depending on the location... i thought that was high :p rofl Hey your VAT tax is also an economy kill too :p Enjoy :) I personally will go down fighting to the death to never allow a VAT tax in this country....so oppressive.

I thought how many carbons a car produces also influences car taxes and stuff, or is that only England?

I'm pretty sure KLF was referring to the gas taxes, and not car taxes in general...

    Well, I was...

    ...but they do that too.

CO2 emissions affect both yearly tax and the big vehicle tax that is set on new cars.

Just don't give them any more ideas what to tax! :D
