Hey guys I have a Lenovo ideapad Gaming 3 with 30 pin Edp cable and current screen is lp156wfc-spd1 this laptop in the US comes with 40 pin connector(which I already ordered) and nv156fhm-nx1 120hz. Im planning on upgrading the lcd soon i want something better than nv156fhm-nx1 could someone help me choose here are the lcds i found at a local shop
NV156FHM-N4G , NV156FHM-N4J , LP156WFG-SPF2 , B156HAN10.0. What do you guys recommend? Which seems the most likely to retain brightness control etc

Unless the Lenovo Service Manual indicates a upgradable screen your stuck with what it comes with. Trying to mix and match screen isn't something advised and can get expensive and if it doesn't work you won't be able to return the item. So look for the Lenovo service manual for your specs and that will tells you if there is a upgrade or not for the Display. The Shop if computer shop should be more then resourced to tell you what screens that would work not all screens work and must match PINs and output specs of connector and board.

Thank you since the NV156FHM-N4J and B156HAN10.0 are 10bit color and i have a 1650ti (which i doubt supports that) does that mean it would less likely work for me? better stick with the NV156FHM-N4G? I would like to retain all brightness controls etc

I went with the N66 4K option with a 9750H / GTX1650. I'm pretty sure you can pick any of those and not have any issue.
