    Hi all guys,

in these sad days (I write from Italy) I'm searching for a new notebook. Here's the form

    General Questions

    1) What is your budget? Around 1500 euros (like 1500$)

    2) What size notebook would you prefer? d (watching also option c, 14'')
    a. Ultraportable; 10" - 12" screen
    c. Thin and Light; 13" - 14" screen
    d. Mainstream; 15" - 16" screen
    e. Desktop Replacement; 17"+ screen

    3) Which country will you buying this notebook? Italy

    4) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?
    a. Like: Asus, Dell
    b. Dislike: Acer

    5) Would you consider laptops that are refurbished/redistributed? Only new

    6) What are the primary tasks will you be performing with this notebook? Need an all around notebook...not heavy gaming nor heavy photo editing. Family use

    7) Will you be taking the notebook with you to different places, leaving it on your desk or both? Both

    8) Will you be playing games on your notebook? (If so, please state which games or types of games?) on pc I usually play games like Football Manager, Two Point Hospital, Pillars of Eternity...for AAA games I use my PS4. Also some retrogaming thanks to gog

    9) How many hours of battery life do you need? At least 3 or 4 hours

    10) Would you prefer to see the notebooks you're considering before purchasing it or buying a notebook on-line without seeing it is OK? I have to buy it online due to COVID 19

    11) What OS do you prefer? Windows, Mac OS, Linux, Chrome OS, etc. Windows

    Screen Specifics

    12) What screen resolution(s) would you prefer? (See further below for explanations.) FHD (not interested on UHD)

    13) Do you want a glossy/reflective screen or a matte/non-glossy screen? (See further below for explanations.) I prefer non glossy...

    Build Quality and Design

    14) Are the notebook's looks and stylishness important to you? Yes

    Notebook Components

    15) How much hard drive space do you need? I think 512 GB will be ok (SSD)...I will keep my old desktop for files, photos and so on

    Timing, Warranty and Longevity

    16) When are you buying this laptop? Now

    17) How long do you expect to use this laptop? At least 3-4 years...hope some more

    18) How long could you afford to do without your laptop if it were to fail? N/A

    19) Would you be willing to pay significantly extra for on-site warranty, or would it be acceptable to you to have to ship the laptop to the vendor for repair with perhaps a week or more outage? Not important

    The main options now are:
    - Asus Zenbook UX533 FLC
    - Asus Zenbook UX534
    - Asus Zenbook UX 434
    - Asus Vivobook S 532 series

Here in Italy it's difficult to find Zenbook UX534, but screenpad is not a necessity so at the moment my favourite one is the Zenbook UX533 FLC (I7 10th gen). I also considered the UX 434 with Screenpad but a lower GPU. A vivobook S with the same spec costs like the UX533, so I don't think it's the first choice.
I don't know when the Zephyrus G14 will be available, but I fear that will not cost 1500$ as expected and I also fear that it could arrive in summer, but I would like to buy now.

Any suggestion? The only difference between UX533 FLC and the UX534 is the Screenpad? Not considered ROG or TUF for the design...my wife does not like it.

    Thanks in advande

I think the Dell XPS 15 merits confederation. If you don't mind a return, the Dell Euro Outlet might be worth a look as a way to to save some liras. Good luck and welcome to NBR.

Certainly a well considered position, but I don't know much about the Asus notebooks. You might want to post over in the Asus forums where you're more likely to find owners who give the you the pros and cons.
