    1) Budget: Between 1400 and 1600 USD

    2) Screen Size: 13-14 inches

    3) Country: USA (West)

    4) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?
I don't particularly like Apple. Linux compatibility is not required, but is nice.
    5) Will not consider refurbished or used.

    6) Will use this for streaming, spreadsheets, editing, casual gaming (CSGO, DOTA, Arkham Knight level)

    7) Will travel with this a fair bit (portability around 3 pounds is very much preferred)

    8) Light gaming including CS, DOTA, Arkham Knight, maybe Skyrim or other RPGs in the future

    9) Ideally, at least above 8 hours of actual use time (not manufacturer description)

    10) Seeing the laptop eiither in person or online is fine

    11) I use Windows and Linux interchangeably.

    Screen Specifics

    12) High-quality is most suitable, so around 1980 x 1080 is fine

    13) Matte is preferred, but glossy is not a dealbreaker

    Build Quality and Design

    14) I actually like the Thinkpad aesthetic so I guess that's a no

    Notebook Components

    15) Prefer at least 512 GB

    Timing, Warranty and Longevity

    16) Buying sometime this year

    17) Will use it through college

    18) I can probably last almost a month

    19) Repair is fine

Have been looking at the Thinkpad line, Matebook X Pro (poor service), Razer Blade Stealth (battery life among others), HP Envy (not a lot of reviews), among others. Touchpad needs to not be completely crappy, GPU should probably be at least an Iris or MX150.

I don't really like 15 inches. They're too big for me.
