^need help conecting my surround on my XPS M1530!^

    Can you please post a print screen of the speaker settings, both windows and sigmatel. Thanks

    Let me know if this pic works. When my cables are connected in the sigamtel window it shows the green checks. let me know what is the problem..

    Try disabling the HDMI output (unless you use it). Do the sound ports work with headphones/microphones?

    Yes the sound port works with headphones. I dont know why the 5.1 surround dont work. I already tried disabling the HDMI and still no sound. Let me know if pics of where I am plugging in the cables help. This cant be this complicated...

    Right click on "Speakers / Headphones" and choose "Configure Speakers" and choose "5.1 Speakers" and go through the prompts.

    Alright guys...I got everything finally working. I was missing the center speaker (which i didnt think i needed it) and know it sounds great and i finally got my room bumping! thank you very much anyways. you guys were really helpful. THANKS AGAIN! PROPZ TO ALL WHO HELP!

    I'm having this problem now.

    Basically the 5.1 is done OK. It registers each speaker individually on teh config thing.

    But when I try and play AC3 sound it isnt in surround
