I have 1 simple problem and I am hoping to find an answer throughout this site. I have a set of surround system 5.1 Dell brand that I have on my Dell 8400 Desktop. I am trying to connect this surround in a different room where I have my M1530 but I just cant get the speakers to work. If anyone knows anything about this please help me. If there is anything I need to configure in the laptop please let me know!...or maybe is not possible?!?  HELP

You will need to install the Sigmatel drivers. If you search Sigmatel in the control panel (assuming you're running vista), it is called "Sigmatel Audio" or something like that. If you are fresh installing the drivers, you need to go into the windows audio settings and tick "disable all enhancements" or there will be a delay on sound output.

Unistall the previous driver first from the Device Manager. Restart. Then install the Dell driver (or newer one from Sigmatel's website).
