    1) Origin tend to run more than other resellers (in general). You should shop around
    2) That GPU is being replaced by the new 1070, which is much more powerful. Any reason why you want to go with a 980M?

980m is now worse than a 1060. I would look for a 1060 or 1070 laptop if available.

Thank you both for your feedback. I will keep shopping around.

What laptop can you recommend with a better GPU? (17.3 inch, i7-6700k or similar processor) I don't want to spend more than around $2500.

The Origin you are looking at is the Clevo P770DM, the older model with Maxwell. The newer one is the P775DM or NP9172 in Sager speak.
The Sager you are looking at is the Clevo P870DM. It is a larger model capable of dual GPU, hence the higher price.
There are a number of other Clevo sellers in the US, assuming that's where you are:

Hidevolution, Eurocom and Mythlogic give you the option of the better Prema BIOS mod by the way.

    Thank you for the clarification.

I figured that I actually prefer the glossy screen. Are there any Clevo resellers who provide this option? I have only seen the Clevo laptops sell with Matte screens.

What laptop with a glossy screen can you recommend me? (17.3 inch, i7-6700k, good GPU, under $2500).

Clevo is the only one with the 6700k. They put matte screens in their machines because for high end gaming they are superior. Glare is super annoying. You can try looking at Eurocom and seeing how many screens they have, but usually the glossy options lose GSync. I can't recommend it. Although i dont think they have the new model available yet. HID has all the new models look there and check the screen options. Or XoticPC.

I have used matte screen many years ago and did not like it. I may reconsider if the display quality is much better.

I have picked a laptop from Sager. I do not use Prema BIOS. How does this look?
