Need advice on replacement laptop

    Hi!

    My laptop is too outdated to use some drivers, and I need a replacement. The sheer number of choices has me stumped, so I'm coming here for help. Can any of you point me in the right direction?

    Mostly using it on my lap at home

    Yes. Big Fish games like the Fantasy Mosaics series, Sunken Secrets, Casino, Fishdom series and time management.

    3 would be nice

    10) Would you prefer to see the notebooks you're considering before purchasing it or buying a notebook on-line without seeing it is OK?
    Online is OK

    Would prefer Windows 7, but would accept Windows 10

    WXGA+,HD+, 900p

    Would prefer matte/non-glossy

    14) Are the notebook's looks and stylishness important to you?
    No

    Within 3-4 weeks, hopefully

    3-4 years

    17) How much hard drive space do you need? Do you want a SSD drive?
    Heck yes to an SSD! 512GB would be ideal

    18) Do you need an optical drive? If yes, a DVD Burner, Blu-ray Reader or Blu-Ray Burner?

    Hey there, welcome.

    Since you want to use the notebook for a while, I'd go for something business-class that is built to last. The Lenovo ThinkPad T570 is worth looking at. However, given you said you want to use the notebook in your lap, I think a 15.6-inch notebook is big for that. For a smaller screen, take a look at the ThinkPad T470s.

    Flash games will run fine on Intel HD graphics, so no need to get fancy there (AMD/Nvidia).

    I would get Asus FX502VM for $899 and swap HDD for SSD. It has GTX 1060, standard voltage i5 processor and good build quality.
