I think 8 hours in our region maybe, but for a website located in the US owned by very well connected people, I think it will take way less than that.

This all said, I also suspect that, honestly, I don’t think SSL would be important for a site like NBR. It’s a forum talking about computers; it’s not like a bank account or your social media stuff with your real info.

You overestimate how quickly people can develop and test a new feature...

You didn't get it, we are not talking about the developing and testing, it can take whatever it needs, We are talking about the downtime.

8 hours downtime to set up SSL. That seems like a small price to pay.

I have submitted the request for SSL. When you see "https" in the address bar, it's been implemented. I'm afraid that's all the ETA I can give.

Thanks for doing this! While I use separate passwords for every account, having SSL enabled is almost a must in this day.

As Per @ALLurGroceries , asking here:

[Imgur] ".gif"'s stopped playing on NBR?
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/gifs-stopped-playing-on-nbr.827405/#post-10861788

It's been going on for a while, but now it's gotten close to 100% / none will play when imgur linked .gif Image is placed in a post, here's a recent one:
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/the-random-video-thread.758474/page-172#post-10861733

    https://imgur.com/r/WTF/Uw6FsKy
    https://i.imgur.com/Uw6FsKy.gifv

I've noticed far fewer "gif"'s from imgur being posted by others too. It's been frustrating to find a cool one to share, and then come on NBR edit a post, and the link doesn't animate, so you have to give up on the post or share a still image + link saying to see it on imgur. Kinda takes the wind out of the joy of sharing "Random Video's", and I've seen far fewer posts lately in that thread.

Is it time for an "Image" package feature upgrade, or an Imgur video embed for Media like youtube video's? There are other sites with video content it would be nice to post like youtube / gif's on NBR.

    Thank you!
