If you indeed have an S7 Edge, like me, you can use the Samsung Internet browser add blocker support, and load some assistant like AdHell and blocking extensions into it that will stop ad's in at least the Samsung Internet Browser.

It's another way to go, which I use, but it's a bit advanced with it's own user tweaks and tuning expertise needed. The Samsung AdHell + Internet browser is light-weight and easier for an inexperienced non-admin type person to use.

I've noticed there have been a lot of spam accounts lately. For example:

I do what I can to report these accounts and their posts, but another account can always be created to do this again. It might be a good idea for the site admins to change the authentication process to avoid these people in the future (i'm not entirely familiar with the process as I made this account in 2011). Something to control how many threads a new member can make would work perhaps; for example limiting them to 2-3 threads until they have received a certain amount of likes or reputation from other members. This would require us to be more welcoming to new members, but I believe it could work.

On a side note, many of these spammers seem to come from India/Pakistan, similar to most spam emails. It may seem unfair, but if its possible to do so extra authentication measures could be required for Indian and Pakistani IP addresses.

I can sympathise with the admins as i'm sure these spammers cause them a lot of headaches. I would like to thank them for doing a good job in dealing with spam.

Thanks very much for reporting, that's what keeps the forums clean. They've all been axed forthwith.

No need to report multiple posts by the same spammer though, the 'spam kill button' will take care of all messages by the spam bot. IPs used will also be logged for banning:

Your suggestions are very useful. I'll merge your thread in the forum's 'Site suggestion thread', they'll probably get some feedback there.

The spam accounts you see are only about 5-10% . The rest you won't see. These are held untill a moderator deletes or gives the ok. The forum software does a pretty good job of keeping them out.
