    I haven't seen one unfortunately ...

Instead I have ordered a second battery which I can carry in my laptop bag. It's not as convenient as an extended battery, but it won't take long to hibernate and swap batteries if I need the extra juice. It also doesn't make the laptop thicker when I don't need the extra.

..yeah, really wish they would make a lithium polymer battery pack. Could be pretty expensive, and I'd still buy one. Better capacity is good, of course - but not the first reason.. Having a reserve battery with an organic lithium-ion solution can be a bit annoying. Either because it suddenly performs very strangely if it gets cold, or it's not charged regularly. You don't get that problem with a synthetic and solid electrolyte (lithium polymer). Also lasts forever.

For example, I've had a lithium polymer battery on my smartphone - it's lasted me since 2001, with constant charge and discharge, along with a few trips in the snow, and it was dunked in water a couple of times as well. It still has a 98% charge. Only minus with it, obviously, is that the manufacturer of the phone won't sell me overpriced replacement-batteries..

But an extra capacity battery that would survive being put in a backpack, and forgotten for a few days. Along with relatively sane bios-settings (that for example could allow lower volt ram, along with lowering bus and processor speeds - and Asus would have a lot of absolutely awesome products on their hand right now.

    But noo..
