    I flashed my bios ..

1 - Fan kept running at 100% and it was very noisy !
    2 - The name of the GPU didn't change to 540M !
3 - The only thing that happened is that the default clocks became 672/900/1344 which are the default in 540M ..

If you fix that I will be grateful :) !

No need to change name of GT-525M to GT-540M. They both share the same hardware. I changed the clocks of the GT-525M to GT-540M with some manual hex editing. So we dont need to use overclocking software and Nvidia Optimus can work like it's supposed to.

I also made a 525m to 550m bios mod. However, don't forget to watch those temperatures. I am working on a undervolting bios for each mod

    Stay tuned!

    Hi,
Thank You for your efforts, it's appreciated.
Haven't tested your bios out yet, but on my next 3 days off I intend to :)
Will install all the bench tools and test out before flashing your mod then I'll flash your mod and bench again and see how it goes.

Post the results when I'm done if you like.
    Cheers

I think the sound bug is caused by a bad reparation. If the Dell Technician damaged my motherboard physically I will need a replacement again.

My modded BIOS is ok. I even tried a downgraded A08 but I still had the problem. So don't worry about the sound

I am currently running 0.83v stock clocks.
