Under-volting your CPU will drop its temperature massively while gaming like never before, but please do it PROPERLY!!!

For i7-7820HK + GTX 1080, 150 is the sweet spot for me, it might not work for you, so I would recommend you to test it out via CPU stress test, thanks to @MogRules for pointing out. A value of 150 is equal to the actual offset value of -0.150 V. The temperature dropped 25 degrees Celsius for me during the CPU stress test(approx).

XTU's auto-applying feature is really unstable and it just doesn't work for me most of the time, so I thought it would be great to just write a little program based on the XTU's command line tool.

I'll continue to improve the program in the future with new features and fixes. But for now, I just hope it helps

If you found any bugs or errors, or if you have any suggestions about the program, please let me know in the comment below, I appreciate it!

I just found a bug (prob related to process handling) which could cause the application to crash.

    UPDATE: Fixed, new link:

Not everyone will have success at 0.150 , some will not be able to get that far as their chips won't handle it. Mine will lock up and restart if I try to drop it to those levels. Every laptop will be slightly different and they will have to find the sweet spot for their chips.

Yeah, -0.150 V should work for 7820HK, if it doesn't work on your device then I guess the reason why is because of the slight difference between silicons, that make sense
I'll probably add a CPU stress test into the program, that should be a handy feature when it comes to testing between different state of CPUs from different PCs

Yes, I saw that post as well, I was actually inspired by that post
Of course, it's always nice to have a more advanced app there like ThrottleStop, I wouldn't compare my program with ThrottleStop though because myUndervolt is a very simple, small program and it's completely based on command line. The steps which you need to do are actually not that much (ik I wrote a bunch of texts there) and it's very easy to understand imo cuz there's just 1 feature available for right now.

Fair point. Still a pretty neat solution overall.
