So, my laptop uses a 30 pin eDP cable (with one missing = 29), then I found this interesting pdf explaining the eDP interface. On the 9th page of the doc, there's the pinout description, and seeing that, I believe that it's the 3rd pin (Complement Signal Link Lane 1) that is missing on my cable. So that means my laptop cable is a 3 lane, capable of running FHD panels? (It came with a HD panel).

    That's my laptop cable: https://www.ebay.com/p/Lenovo-IdeaP...play-Cg521-LVDS-Cable-DC02001YF10/14006356256

My laptop came with a 15,6" HD 30-pin, the actual logicboard connector has 29 pins, with the 3rd "missing":

By researching further i found this doc about the eDP interface, and by looking at this pinout from the pdf, it's probably(i'm not sure) the 4th lane connection thats is missing, probably... meaning that the stock cable inside my laptop is a 3 lane eDP connector, pinout below:

By reseaching even further, I typed the SN of my laptop, browsed through the parts and acessories, selected LCD parts, and the site listed both HD and FullHD panels as compatible for this model, having the conclusion that this laptop indeed supports FullHD panels.

    The upgrade:
Nothing extraordinary, unscrew, open, disconnect cables, unscrew old screen, place new screen, test it, worked, success!
