    1. The very complicated instructions about driver installation pertain to the hybrid driver. It is a lot easier for the BIOS HACK guys, as you've already discovered.

    2. Don't bother with drivers before upgrading - the Windows 10 upgrade process will make you reinstall them anyway.

    3. Check if the free upgrade to Win 10 is still available - some forums suggest that if you enable some accessibility features, you can still get it. If it is there, get your digital entitlement (upgrade and verify that Win 10 is activated), then do a clean install of Win 10 (format C drive during setup) to start with a clean slate.

    4. Install Win 10 with the mode switch set to stamina. Let Windows Update find the Intel driver for you.

    5. Download the nVIDIA driver, run it, let it fail. This extracts the contents to a folder on C drive. Run CC's patcher. Enable test mode (this involves rebooting). Reboot after setting the mode switch to speed. Install the nVIDIA patched driver.

    6. If you don't need the test mode for other stuff, you can go back to normal mode once the driver is installed.

Does anyone know whether a 1340 with a 210m GPU has the same hybrid SLI setup as the 9500 configuration, or is it a more conventional discrete GPU that's always active?

Full model number, please. This thread is primarily for VGNZ and VPCZ1 series, so don't use the instructions here on any other laptop unless you really know what you're doing.

Hello. How did you manage to download it? Megaupload is down for ages I think.
Anybody can help? How can I download Andrew's drivers?

    Thanks for any help.

EDIT: Ok, a working link is in the text file under Andrew's post! If anybody else is looking for it ;) It's not obvious that it's there. It helped me, it's working. Thank you so much guys. Say no to forced (greedy) upgrades! :D
