I always thought RGB associated with gaming and high-end PC annoyed me. And for things where it drains battery like my wireless mouse I definitely disable it. I didn't buy the hardware for RGB, it just happened that the best motherboard for Ryzen that didn't carry the Asus tax was RGB cancer infected. GSkill 3600 B-Die appeared to be most compatible with Ryzen for high speed. And the Gigabyte 2070 well it was on sale for $450, and it performs marvelously well overclocked staying under 70C aircooled.

But now that I have it, I don't mind it at all. Also pink cause the GF keeps saying, oh pretty, it's pink. How about you?

Sorry pic doesn't really show how cancerous it really is, example the brightness.

Even if you don't care for RGB, it is nice to have as a novelty and for resale, because some people are crazy go nuts for it. I typically set all of my lights to white or turn them off. Once in a while I will set a color, enjoy it for part of the day, then set it all back to white again.

I avoid lights in my system for power draw and it's just me so no fancy show but spend the money on better hardware. My GPU has leds on it because that's how it is design so I live with that.

You're missing an RGB video card support bracket (yes, they exist).

But when RGB is making it easier for you to sell some of your redundant stuffs, below is what happens to a huge RGB hater

Looks great! Might be biased though. Built my own desk and computer.

    RGB is utterly ridiculous.
Extra power drain for no good reason, and doesn't really serve any real function apart from trying to make a casing look 'nice' (which in my opinion it fails at).
How about adding useful functionalities to casings and dispense with the utter idiocy like RGB by keeping it separate for those who think they want it?

Most of the time, the casing won't even be visible to the user (because it will be stashed underneath the desk most likely, and if you leave it on during the night, good luck falling asleep due to the noise and all the lights the thing emanates).

And that is your OPINION. Thankfully we all aren't the same so let's not insult people who enjoy the things they enjoy.

While rainbow effects could turn out to be fad, having one SKU of a product with all possible colours instead of seperate SKUs for red, blue, and green is so much better. It used to suck to find that you could only buy your favourite peripheral with red LEDs when your entire rig had blue lights. Those who wanted to do themed builds had to be handy with a soldering iron to swap diodes.

If done right, you control all your system's lighting through your BIOS or the same piece of software, so flicking the off switch really isn't much hassle. I do look forward to RGB becoming so commonplace the marketing for it gets toned down, however.
