I don't have it myself. However, I wish I had it. I bought mine uniwill subnotebook before MSI 260/270 became available in Germany, though it was my choice.

On German forums the owners of these are usually very happy with their purchase. You may have small problem with a cheap keyboard and loud fan, though, if you aren't lucky.

It appears to be one of the best subnotebook purchase for the price.

MSI laptops look pretty nice, but I'm not too fond of the low res screens. I dont mind on a smaller format, but when you're at 15" or higher, I don't think XGA and WXGA are the way to go.

MSI S260 has 12.1" widescreen with resolution 1280x800. I think it is the highest resolution available for 12" and it seems to be optimal. Normaly, lower resolutions were used for 12" (including Panasonic, Apple and IBM)
and I disliked these screens very much.

Dim, it already sounds a bit like a personal vendetta on MSI. :)

MSI laptops are very high quality. They are as good as if not better than ASUS build quality. I cannot comment on their customer service because I have not dealt with them personally, but I do know that most of the retailers that sell MSI are very, very good and trustworthy. Xmeld.com is my personal favorite, they are very informed and can help you with any questions you have. Hope this helps. Check out the MSI-1029 it is a beauty!
