    Wasn't a scam, but because a US VAR falsely reported it as "fraudulent", ebay/paypal forced the seller to refund every single buyer. The seller wasn't even given the opportunity to ship a single package. Seller was labeled guilty without any proof and didn't even do anything wrong. I know the VAR who false flagged the post and I'll be sure they don't get my business solely because they are trying to force me to buy domestically at 5X the price. Greed monsters are just going to lose money in the long haul LOL.

    I did a lot of digging and found a distributor for cheap gt83vr models. Once I get a hold of them, i'm going to put them on the market for sale at extremely cheap prices simply to undercut the VAR who tried to screw up an opportunity for me to get a cheap laptop.

    I hope you can, I made inquiry w seller and the story was just odd w basis of PayPal limiting his account. Now what's interesting is there are no comments in this thread from resellers about the low price and the listing that has since been removed. It was a great deal and even alibaba.com has some killer prices but I have chose to wait for 9900 series and 1100gtx based gpu

    I thought about waiting for the 9900k as well but there isn't a single processor over 3.2ghz in a 2017-2018 gaming laptop that goes up to 100% usage(when playing) @ stock clocks when playing any game at all on max settings @ 100hz provided it has a good gpu. Even when playing crysis 3 or starwars battlefront 2 @ maximum settings @ 100hz with 2 external monitors cluttered with a movie playing/chrome tabs my usage isn't higher than 80%. Even when I stream & play my CPU usage still has a way to go. A better processor literally does nothing for me but burn a hole in my pocket. I have no reason to shell out money for anything new since nothing I do has a demand for it. I'm only buying the cheap gt83 to upgrade my gpus from 1070s to 1080s and because it's cheap. I don't even need this stuff. 9900k sounds cool but it's only necessary if you are doing hardcore video editing which is an extremely small portion of the market(most of those guys use a desktop anyway). It won't make games run any better than an i7-6820hk @ 3.4-3.6ghz as there is not a single title in existence that will bottleneck the CPU.

    Once I realized that CPU never even comes close to 100%(today), I realized that overclocking these newer processors for gaming is absolutely pointless. It's nothing but excessive energy being spent and excessive wear on the processor. This in turn degrades your processor faster lowering the lifecycle of your equipment forcing you to buy on a more frequent basis. Now if I could use the extra juice from overclocking, I would, but I realized overclocking these new laptops when all I do is stream/game is absolutely pointless and provides absolutely no performance benefit that can be utilized. This pretty much goes for every single modern gaming laptop. They are all either limited by a combination of the GPU or the refresh rate of the monitor. Either you are producing more frames than you can see or or monitor's refresh rate is higher than what your GPU can handle(the case for all the new razer 15.6" model-144mhz screen with nvidia 1070max-q but you'll never see 144 fps @ max settings in games like crysis 3 or mass effect andromeda or even world of warcraft(BFA) with a single 1070 max q @ 1080p. It's one of those laptops that is "middle of the road" that doesn't get to display it's full potential simply because it's limited by it's GPU. )

    I also realized that on any laptop, *when overclocked* (aside from the asus watercooling janky laptop), you can never actually utilize 100% of the CPU while doing real world tasks that require both **CPU&GPU** usage simultaneous such as gaming for more than a couple minutes due to heat constraints. Even with liquid metal and a laptop cooling pad, you'll never be able to use all the power since the heat is too much.

    PayPal will limit accounts (basically making you wait to transfer the funds) until the buyer(s) leave feedback and/or wait a period of time because the activity was suspicious.

    That is some killer pricing on Alibaba, but if you check feedback from buyers who have used alibaba:

    https://www.sitejabber.com/reviews/alibaba.com

    https://www.bbb.org/losangelessilic...-santa-clara-ca-230194/reviews-and-complaints

    You will see it is hit or miss or miss some more.

    Finally,

    @gt83vr6reHelp if you want to go ahead and obtain units from an actual supplier and show proof of delivery, I look forward to it.

    I'm in talks currently with a couple distributors. I certainly won't have any issue selling them here or on ebay while undercutting the US VARs that screwed me out of a cheap laptop while providing full transparency. I'm literally just waiting for the distributors to accept paypal as a method of payment.

    That's the thing, the US VAR who reported the seller for fraud knows that's exactly how paypal operates. All they had to do was make a purchase and leave negative feedback before the seller even had the opportunity to ship and they locked him out of paypal screwing him entirely out of business. The VAR will get whats coming to them, they always do. Whether it's a huge loss of clientele, a bunch of fake buyers being sent their way to waste their time over and over, chargebacks, returns to force them to re-sell the item at an open box discount to make them lose money or their laptops conveniently always arriving to a buyer with a shattered screen and the vendor being forced to eat the cost/waste their time, they will face consequences for falsely accusing a seller of fraud and for screwing me out of a cheap laptop in a narcissistic effort to control where I spend my money.

    @gt83vr6reHelp How goes the unit acquisition?

    Even after the cleanup on eBay, more negative feedbacks (which I'm sure ebay will clean up post scam):

    @gt83vr6reHelp

    You said last week you were talking to some suppliers direct about getting the low cost units. How's that going?
