    Hello everyone

Which of these laptops is a better buy in the long run for like 2 or 3 years?

Price, mobility, size and battery life doesn't matter. Needs SLI for the proprietary software my office uses for CAD. Will be playing some racing sims on it occasionally too.

Based in UK and getting some hefty discount on both of them.

    GT83 8RG SLI
    Intel core i7 8850H, 32 GB ram, GTX 1080 SLI, 1TB SSD + 1TB HDD, 18.4" 1080p 60Hz IPS

    GT75 8RF SLI
    Intel core i9 8950HK, 32 GB ram, GTX 1070 SLI, 512GB SSD +1TB HDD, 17.3" 4k 60Hz IPS

I'm personally leaning towards GT75 because of 4k display and better processor. But not too sure that 1070 SLI can handle everything max at 4k like 1080 SLI. Plus 4k resolution on a 17.3" screen doesn't scale very well with some UI elements here and there.

Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.
    Stay safe and stay home:)

I would say there's give and take.
GT83 gives you great performance throughout your ownership, longer than GT75. It cost more though, right?
Also, if we factor in depreciation, then for the higher cost you pay for, the more losses you get in the end.
The way I see is if you wanted to get the GT75 then get it and just enjoy it. And forget about the rest because it is like looking at stocks. What do you think? :p
