    GT76 has a 200W 2080.

Let me double check a production unit...

Edit: Yes they are shipping with 200W

The GT76 has optimus and no mux switch. that means no g-sync for this Lady.
    short call to my contact.

I guess they figure its a DTR and would be plugged into another monitor?

Still though, optimus on such a machine is bit deflating.

If I had this laptop I would use it with my external TV anyways, but yeah it would have been better to have a mux switch of sorts. I would even prefer that on my GS75 honestly - when I use it on AC power I go full dGPU and only use the intel GPU when on battery.

So it used to be a small bump but now is a big bump. Because I am assuming that the iGPU bottlenecks what the internal screen can show?

Now if I where to limit frames like I usually do would that effect me a whole lot? Because I usually do 60fps internal and then 100-120 external.

I was more curious if it's still doing that thing where it locks you out of your dGPU for no reason on some apps and games.

After reading this thread, and also seeing mention of Optimus on notebookcheck's GT76 review, I was in a bit of a panic because I have this laptop on order from HIDe. Then I spoke with @Donald@HIDevolution last night and he confirmed to me that in fact the GT76 did not have Optimus. Who did you speak to, if I may ask? As you can understand, I'd like to get clarity on this point once and for all.

To the msi technician who had an GT76 in use during our conversation.
And on the other Hand the Users Manual from the GT76 and the GS75 Stealth 9SE or the GS63VR 6RF. As far as i know the GS75 has it and the GS63 for sure has optimus and when the GT76 has no optimus why it has the same descrption in the users manuals like the GS75 Stealth 9SE or the GS63VR 6RF Stealth Pro?
Maybe another mistake from the MSI Stuff who is responsible for the overview of the different products on the hp?
Left ist the GT76 and right is the GS75 for the GS63VR 6RF Strealth Pro you can find it on the msi.com.

So far with all this information the GT76 has optimus till someone else can provide the same facts that i'm wrong and then i don't have any problems to say damn guys i'm sorry that i was wrong.

    Edit:
Even Notebookcheck wrote optimus in their review under the technical overview.
