To no surprise this panel also has the same manufacture detect that all other Chi Mei CMN1747 panels have.

Yeah what defect is that? @DRevan
And this supposed to be a "3ms" screen. Is that a complete lie? Or is it some overdrive trickery in the Bios ?

By "all" I mean the ones I encountered (11 panels in total).
They all had it at a different spot, but the issue was the same, at certain view angles there was a green dot lighting up under black background.

At some cases it was hard to spot and most people would not even spot it, but at some cases it was easy to see it and it was annoying.

My laptop was from Germany and after checking the German website of MSI the reason is now clear why did I and Notebookcheck receive a model with 5 MS screen. In Germany MSI sells this laptop with 2 types of 120 hz screen, the 5ms Chi Mei Panel and the unknown New 3 ms panel.

In the US according to the MSI website all models are equiped with 3 ms panel only.

Would be nice to check this and see the actual name and model of the panel.

Dead pixel should be visible from all angles.
My tip is that its a dust particle.

The difference between 5ms and 3ms on the MSI GT models is a different revision of the same model number. The model number hasn't changed, but the latest revision is 3ms.

Shouldnt the new revision support HDR (10bit color) ?
Also, did they not change the manufacture date neither?
