MSI GT73VR Screen problem post warranty

    I would assume it would have to do with the intel GPU, driver issue. I'm not 100% certain in the case of your laptop, but i know mine channels the image through the intel GPU to the laptop display. Anything external is channeled through the nvidia GPU. Have you recently updated the intel graphic drivers?

    Also, Intel graphics only supports UHD at 60hz. So it can only display 4k at 60hz max, what do you have this set on?

    Looks like I finally got this fixed. Well, I replaced the screen and it hasn't acted up in the past 30 mins so I am assuming. But thank you to everyone who helped. It seems for this specific model its even easier than the videos as it is held in by 4 screws in each corner instead of having to slide it in and out. The connector on the back was also super easy to deal with but I do see what you guys were saying about the double sided tape. At this point I'm just happy to have it fixed. Thank you guys once again. This youtube video also helped me in case anyone references this for their issue later
