My power button ribbon cable is damaged during me repasting/cleaning the laptop. now it won't connect to the power button in the upper panel and the laptop won't start unless i fiddle with the stripes on the cable with a screwdriver
is there a way to fix it by stripping it's end like a normal cable? if not, where can i find one online?

It needs to be replaced and the best point of contact is MSI. Be careful with it next time because it is fragile.

Any generic flat ribbon cable will do. They're the same cables MSI's ODM bought when assembling the device.

You need to measure pin pitch, length, count the pins and check whether it's 'forward' (same-side exposed) or 'reversed' (flipped). Could also check the cable for a part nr., of course; that could point to the right type.
