I don't think the 4K panel is great either.. It seems they are RGBW Pentile, which is basically a psuedo 4K with the extra extra white diode :/

I had the GL502VS before returning it, as I found the design too unprofessional for office use. But it didn't make an intolerable amount of noise to my ears.

Yeah it seems the GL502 might be a little quieter but Notebookcheck's review of the VS model with 1070 noticed it was pretty high pitched, probably not far off from what I experienced on the GS63.

I would not call it high pitched, but everyone interprets these things differently. Certainly it was audible. It's not that surprising that fan noise is an issue across all of these laptops, as this is the first time a full desktop GPU has been shoehorned into a mobile machine.

A full desktop GPU has nothing to do with it.. Especially if the TDP of the 1060 = 970M. Which is why the previous GS60 is also loud(er) than this unit. It comes down to being too thin and light and finding fans that do the job of getting the heat out quieter than what MSI used..

has someone try to install the latest MSI True Color from the Msi support webpage?. When i try to install it says This system is not supported.
I have the Best Buy Version (full HD panel)

Looks like MSI true color is only supported in the 4K version... am i right?

I remember having that issue too.. However it seems that the Dragon Center has True Color built in and has a few presets you can use and it did change the screen tones/colors. MSI's software suite is very confusing for sure.

You're not missing out on much. :) It's basically a bunch of filters, most of which make the image worse imo.
