I wear a headset 24/7 while using a laptop so idc. I had the ROG Hero II and it was very loud at max fans but couldn’t hear it over my headset. Not too concerned. I could see where that may be a problem for you but I always just max the fans manually when gaming. I could report back on auto fans and let you know what I think.

You don’t really need GSYNC at a high frame rate really. Wouldn’t say they “hate” gsync, they leave it out to keep costs down most likely.

Also if anyones curious on duty to Canada on the GE75 2080 from HIDevolution it was $119 CAD (Alberta). Kinda of odd since I pay 5% tax, it should of been $200+. Oh well I’ll take it!

Hello fellow Albertan. What was the price like after currency conversion? I have one at memoryexpress reserved, but would prefer one with all the cooling mods done

Hello! You will be paying a premium but 100% worth it imo.

I just built one on HID’s website with just the cooling upgrade to test for you. With $50 rush and fedex ground it was around 3k usd. So that would be $4100 ish CAD @ $1.37

My order below was $3373.70 USD / Paid by paypal and was $4631.71 CAD.

Note I swapped the standard NVME for a Samsung 970 EVO 1TB NVMe ($300 USD) among a few other upgrades you can see below.

Paid $50 for rush build (1-5 days) and shipping was fedex ground 1-5 days $38 ish.

You can build the setup you like on HID’s website then check the current conversion rate. I believe it was $1.37 ish at my time of purchase.

Sounds like a beast. How loud do the fans get?

The older model gets pretty loud and so does this model( i believe over 50DB under load/gaming).
OwnOrDisown has a review with the RTX 2070.

50 DB is damn good for laptops this size.

Idk yet, get it Saturday. I couldn’t care less though I wear a headset 100% of the time.

Hi guys, I don’t post much but I had a question as I’m shopping around like the rest of us. Just hoping some can confirm for me that the only difference between the GT75 Raider 2080 and the GT63 Raider 2080 is the screen size? Mine will always be hooked up to a monitor so I don’t care about screen size, and would prefer to have a much smaller laptop assuming it’s the same power. I know it’s all theoretical since no one has one in hand yet but hopefully the specs alone can confirm it. Thanks in advance.

The GT63 is the 15 inch version of the GT series so in a sense, yeah. In practice there might be other limitations like perhaps cooling is a tad better on the bigger chasis, there might be more SSD ports but in general they are about the "same".
