It is recommended instead to use throttlestop. Back when I used Intel XTU i noticed strange behavior even after removing Dragon Center. Certain options would only appear sometimes, after a full restart, vs shutdown/turn on.

So it would be best to test with Throttlestop, remove the others. As for fan control, I believe Silent Option still works and you should try it.

I did as you guys said and swapped to TS. It was less of a headache than xtu actually. and SO works well (the skylake version if anyone is wondering)

Im surprised there's no mention here of the single channel ram fiasco.
Ive been getting wierd frame drops and generally have been dissapointed since i got the GE63.

I think all these 16gb raiders are single channel ram from factory?

Does anyone know what the exact specs are for the ram to match up a second stick?

(my previous raider broke a tab taking the back off so the less i do it the better)

Single or Dual doesn't make much difference in actual performance, but if you want to enable dual channel you need to have both slots populated.
    Stock: 16GB DDR4 2666 MHz/PC4 21300 (16G X 1)
    Max: 32GB DDR4 3200Mhz G.Skill CL18 Dual-Channel 16G X 2

Thanks alot! Ill try to find a good match for that.
Btw...its been shown that it can make up to even 35% difference with RTX laptops. Ita kind of the big story this past week and many respected review sites have confirmed in testing.

That's what Synthetic benchmark shows which is true and correct. But in real life scenario you may not even utilize all of that performance. :)
