Looking at the heat issues that are on the Alienware even the recent R5 (just take a look at the owners lounge for the Alienware 17 R5) , I'd get the MSI:

    Custom Built MSI GE73 Raider 8RF RGB-012 17.3" w/ nVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070

Make sure to select this for your thermal paste for better cooling:

Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut on CPU + GPU, and Fujipoly Extreme Thermal Pads on heat sensitive surfaces – BEST PERFORMANCE

HIDevolution has some of the best customer service, build quality, and tweaks to enhance the cooling of your laptop.

If you email donald@hidevolution.com and tell him the configuration you want along with your NBR forum username, you can also get the NBR Discount

Not sure as to the percentage (as I'm not good at math), but I got $60 off my order from Hidevolution for my nbr discount.

Very happy with my GE73 8RF from HID. I did do the thermal cooling package and the cpu and gpu stay quite cool. Usually mid 70s occasionally low 80s.
