    The instructions from MSI official forum state:
    "If do you flash a notebook BIOS, you must do the following AFTER the flash:

    1. Turn notebook OFF with button, hold 4 seconds.
    2. Remove recharge plug
    3. Remove battery
    4. Leave it like this for about 5 minutes.
    5. Put everything back and power the laptop again."

    The purpose of it obviously is to reset EC. This is all fine and updating of my BIOS went flawlessly, however, I CANNOT REMOVE BATTERY. Because it is simply non-removable in my laptop.
    So, how can I reset EC?

    Look at the bottom of the laptop for a small pin hole, and use that to disconnect the battery.

    There should be some kind of switch straight down the hole.

    Bez názvu.png

    this mark is EC

    //edit ,.,steps
    EC reset ,.no AC / fully shutdown ,,.,.small hole on back-cover - 30s
    after this plug AC ,.,.wait 5min .,,.run system

    you must see different boot time or blinking diodes
    "best is disable wifi before" and see this diode in reset ;)
    identical boot - no reset

    ///
    cmos reset - restore all your bios setup to defaults !
    EC reset - bios configuration is identical

    Thank you!
    I did everything as described, even waited a bit longer.
    But I am not sure if the boot was really different or it's just my imagination. By the way, using this switch won't let the PC to boot without AC, so the switch is definitely there and it works.

    Does it have something to do with EC version? After the upgrade I see the new BIOS version, but unfortunately I forgot which EC version was before upgrade, so I am not sure if it changed with BIOS version or after EC reset (if I succeeded doing it).

    but this is still old FW for SA86 detection "not more" 11.8.50 FW "still old"

    you not must risk update ! install only latest MEI drivers - topic here on forum

    or latest is 11.8.86 fw - this is no-vulnerable in this detection tool
    unofficial flash - RISKS !
