    Hey all,
I have a new GE65 Raider. Is it normal for only the left side fan to run most of the time?

When watching the reported fan speeds in Dragon Center, the right fan doesn't seem to engage until the left hits about 95%.

I believe it's normal; the left fan is mostly to cool the CPU.

Undervolting the CPU with Throttlestop and repasting the CPU would go a long way towards reducing temperatures and power consumption.

Thanks Charles. Repasting I could do. Trying to understand the nuances of processor overclocking, undervolting and the like, I'm lost.

I'd need someone with my same cpu and like setup to at least tell me what to start with as far as setting up the myriad of settings I've seen in the Throttlestop UI.

I used the Throttlestop guide over on Ultrabookreview to get started. Worth a try. Even if you slap a mild undervolt on there and run with it, you'll be far better off. https://www.ultrabookreview.com/31385-the-throttlestop-guide/

People are very helpful in the thread I linked in my last post if you're having trouble.
