its def hitting 90c in the phys test, saw as low as 1695mhz (didnt hit the advertised 4.10Ghz on intel's site, but 3800/3900 should be more than enough)

the GPU was OC'd before being shipped, assuming thats why the scores are a little higher and the system seems to run pretty well im just concerned about Temps. (laptop is great otherwise)

i paid for the the paste and pad upgrade hoping to keep it in check because it does get a little warm over here in California, but this cpu is pretty wild. i see the temps go up and drop 20c pretty easily in HWmonitor. is there anything else i can do? i'd ideally like to bring the temps to the 70s during gaming so i dont have to use a lapboard (not putting a 80c-90c laptop on my lap lol)

Wow those cpu temps seem high. I was under the impression that the GE raider series from MSI had good cooling. Might want to try undervolting using TS.

The physics test taxing all 6 cores aka the max you will see is 3.9GHz all cores.

i saw it hit up to 3991MHz, which is why i figured single core. I guess its an OC? i though i only had the GPU redline boost, guess that includes cpu as well

where do i find the TS program(& instructions on how to use it)? def interested in undervolting.

i was just reading that thread haha. i'll try missing with it later today.

yes i remember you posting the wikichip link before. if its locked, could the 3991MHz just be a misreading by 3dmark?

Nope. You can run it one more time and hover your mouse over the graph. The red arrow show you the physics test (all cores is taxed), you should see 3.9GHz flash up.

Does using dual channel on RAM really matters? I checked the YouTube videos on CSGO lpw fps problems, problems cited there relates to using single ram stick.

Yes, larger bandwidth = faster performance = more responsive. For troubleshooting purposes, you should try single module one at a time, then eventually both.

it definitely goes over 3.9 in the graphical, and in the physical it start above 3.9 and goes down to the mid 3.8GHz

also re-ran, and got a lower score but with way bigger highs and lows

Going to go mess with TS now and see if it makes the cpu behave better.
