Does anyone have the 2019 RTX refresh of the GE63? I'm thinking about grabbing the full RTX 2080 model but I'm not seeing impressions or even a thread anywhere... no idea what the thermals or battery life would be like. It looks like a beautiful machine, not sure if anything has changed since the last model (ala the GS65).

Can you give any temps impressions under load? Fan noise? (which i imagine would be loud under load), display impressions? I am VERY interested in this exact model too...thank you!

MrBeer, could you provide feedback on your impressions on thermals and if the RTX card you got made the laptop a better gaming laptop? What type of GTX card did you have prior to this laptop...and is there a noticeable difference between them?

    Thank you in advance.

Well I have just purchased The 9th Gen i7 9750h version of this laptop in late July 2020 (15.6" laptop model RGB 9SE-882US with RTX 2060 & i7 9750H) sold from Walmart stores!
    ------
This is my first laptop purchase in close to 10 years. So I've been depriving myself of 3rd gen thru 8th gen processor computers until now with this 9th gen laptop. So this was a huge upgrade for me, coming from a slower Asus AMD A6 6720G2 to this great leap of CPU/GPU combination. I was waiting for something great like this to move up to.
    ------
This MSI was clearanced for an amazing low price of $800 since it had the older components:
9th gen i7 from 2019, and the normal powered 90+ watt RTX 2060. But these are killer specs for under $1000.

In 2020, Walmart was making room for the newer 10th gen i7 10750H CPU models with higher powered 115w RTX 2060.
****I made a post of some useful links to learn more about this laptop from reviews and what type of things we can upgrade & how we can lower the Temps at the link below:
    ------
But I see that this thread has been collecting cobwebs for most of the year, since it's probably not the most popular model of the many lines of MSI laptops GS, GL, newer GE thin bezel. I'm sure MSI fan boys would rather have those models verses this one. And even the 17" version versus this one. I've heard people don't like the fat bezels on this laptop, but this is fine compared to my 9 year old laptop. lol (I'll take anything compared to something that old).
    ------
But I've been enjoying this laptop very much so far. A really nice portable desktop replacement for the price.
Maybe other new owners of this MSI GE63 raider will find this thread & reflect upon this laptop...since over 300+ people around the country were lucky to find and purchase this deal at their local Walmart stores in the Summer (July of 2020.)

I have the 115w vbios for the 2060 if you want to try flashing it.

    Follow this guide

Sounds really cool that this could be possible. But does it really work for this laptop? Sounds a little risky for me since I have a nice 3 year warranty protecting this laptop. Plus I'm not a serious gamer. The link above stated flashing the bios and using this would void the warranty.
(But It sounds interesting so I downloaded it to keep around for the future. thanks!)

It's completely reversible and theres no way for a manufacturer to verify that you've flashed a different vbios before once you revert back to the original vbios so you won't be voiding the warranty. They just put that in the guide as a disclaimer.

So to get things started, I used TechPowerUp GPU-Z and SAVED my own BIOS of GPU.
(and the file looks nearly identical to your file).
    ----
I haven't flashed a bios on a laptop in a long time over 7 years.
Is there an specific software to upload BIOS into our MSI laptops, or do we follow the guides instructions and do it with cmd command line prompt?
(lol, But I think I will put this off for a later time when I research it more, since I'm afraid I may brick my laptop or GPU.)
