MSI 7970M on an MSI 1761?

    It's an MSI 7970m but I have the old pre-enduro dell 7970m vbios on there right now, I forget the version #. 0.15.something I think. Do you know if the one you got is based on that vbios? I'm fairly certain it won't work if it's one of the later vbioses. I'm intrigued though, does undervolting just help keep it cool so that it won't throttle? I might be willing to risk a vbios flash if it possibly means a longer life span or more stability.

    Yes it is a very early vbios version. My card is an early Dell QS card. Starts 015.

    Undervolting helps hugely. Stock voltage is 1.05V taking voltage down to 0.975V will cut your temps at load down 10-15C. Not joking. Your card will perform as it should and it will last a lot longer.
