Just for record, there is a review of S260 in German:
    http://www.minitechnet.de/msi_s260_01.html

Pages 8-9 contain results of some benchmarks and measurements.
In particular, the battery life in idle is 4h 18m, in full load (burn-in test) 2h 12m.
The noise level is told to be below 35dB (that doesn't say much).

If someone is interested to translate it electronically please post it here to help others.

Can you translate S260 lower page 10 tables? Something like pros/cons suitable/unsuitable?

I want a computer less than 4 lbs...now didnt one of their models come in 1.8kg or 3.9 something lbs. which one is that...4.5 lbs is a little too heavy to put in my bag to carry around...I really like the screen though and the design but I the weight is making me think twice between this or the travelmate 3002.

depends on the battery. and whether you use a magnetic HD or a Flash HD . i think theyre mainly shipping with the 8 (or is it 6?) cell which is smaller than some others but still props the back a bit like a footrest. im about to go try to find the normal one, 2 hours is plenty of time and i want this thing sleek and a touch lighter

MS-1012 8-cell battery is 4.5lbs and 4-cell battery is 4lbs. the difference is about 0.5lbs but you get 4 hours battery life with 8-cell version. Travelmate has almost the same weight but more expensive though and you cannot customize.
