I modded my CM storm SF-19 to filter dust and to vibrate less.
The result turned out to be excellent.

    Q&A

Q: Will this block my airflow?
A: Not much, further down in the guide I am showing you the famous paper test after modification.

Q: Does the anti-vibration mod work well?
A: There will still be vibrations, but much less.

    What do you need?
    -Rubber tape
    -Electical tape
    -Mosquito net

    The dustfilter mod

Step 1: Cut your mosquito net to fit the underneath of your cooler

Step 2: Tape it to the bottom of the cooler

    The anti-vibration mod
Step 1: Cut your tape to the correct size.

Step 2: Wrap the plastic knobs with the rubber tape.

Step 3: Reattach the fans to the grill

step 4: Tape the mosquito net over the grill.

The anti-vibration mod continuation (last step)
step 4: Tape the mosquito net over the grill.

    Airflow is still strong
As you can see in this picture, the paper is lifted quite high into the air. I am holding down one corner of the paper with a rubber hammock feet.

I've done something similar to mine..
I also removed to top metal mesh and instead of mosquito net i used the middle filter of a 3-layer surgical mask..

I have used the dust filter mod for two days, and the anti vibration mod was added today.
Here is a pic of how much dust the mosquito net collected in just 2 days.

thats what you get from fast fans lol ..

using velcro instead of fix tape will ease the net cleaning ... next mod ? :D

For me it's a toss-up between air-flow and dust buildup....

Plus, I want my cooler to look good. I dunno, I might not do this, but thanks for the effort and idea! :)

This is a follow up to show how much dust the dustfilter traps.

I have cleaned it twice since I made this thread. The pictures below are taken after 10 days of usage (about 2-4 hours each day).
The net looks totally nasty with particles all over with extra much in the center of the fanpositions. This is taken with my phone camera, but on the 2nd picture the particles are rather visable.

    hey simplified,

just curious about the cm storm sf-19, is it awkward to use the laptop because it looks as if it sits up pretty high, does it annoy you when playing games n such?

Im looking at getting one would u recommend getting this one or look into a different cooler
    cheers.
