Thanks for the information. The SkyPro arrived on Friday and it is working fine. Easier to use then the CH341A, and available in Germany.

See what happens when people trust me, for once?
Glad you like your new programmer. I liked how easy it was to use, too.

Just out of interest what kind of scores and clocks (and power use at those clocks) do you see with your 195W TDP 1070?

I did one single-1070 benchmark recently and 20715 as a firestrike graphics score at 2025/1.00V/2275mem https://www.3dmark.com/fs/14644969 - no tweaking to see whether the per-GPU power limits apply to single yet. Pretty much just copied the settings that get 37500 in SLI. I get a firmware based CPU throttle at >190W per GPU and/or >540W from the wall which seems to put 2025/1.00V as my limit at 190W where it uses 165-180W most of the time in a firestrike stress test.

If I can do a 'cool' run, and lock the voltage at 1.025v, and use +200 / +700, around 21700 firestrike score.
(same as if I "flatten" the curve at 1.025v).

For some reason, if I don't flatten or lock the curve at 1.025v, witcher 3 will often randomly crash if I use +200 directly; then I have to go down to +125 (with lower FPS there too). Very strange.
