    I have read the updates but unfortunately there is no information what versions of RTX supports TDP Tweaker.
    I thought maybe someone had already tried to upload to Clevo cards, that's why I'm asking.

    Prema wrote that the power section gets very hot after exceeding 150W TDP in Clevo cards. And it can burn.

    a 6/8 phases vrm overheat with only 150W ? are they at least cooled ?

    Depends what is the resistance of the inductors used, as well as the RDSon of the MOSFETS used in the VRM's.

    At 950mV (more or less), you end with 150/0.95 = 158 Amps.
    158/6 phases = 26.3Amps per phase.

    The MOSFETs used in the Pascal MXM cards wont be much better, if not the exact same part as the ones used in the Maxwell GPUs, and those(CSD87350Q5D) claim a best case scenario of 90% efficiency at 25Amps, while dissipating 9Watts(total combined of the power loss in the MOSFET and in the inductor), it gets worse with rising temps, as is expected, because RDSon as a positive tempco.

    Make that times 6 and you are dissipating 6*9 = 54Watts on the VRM's alone, you are lucky if your heatsink has one shared heatpipe over the VRM area, and one long shared heatpipe wont have the capability to remove 54Watts of power, thats why they might/can overheat if you go above 150Watts TDP.

    Not that it ultimately contradicts your speculation about insufficient VRM cooling, but your calculations of 9W per FET are way off, your starting point should be 4W power loss at 25A (>95% efficiency) and that is an overestimate as the better operating conditions on the GPU board compared with the Datasheet charts (lower Vout, and Tj) will bring power loss down further

    I def know I have these powering my P870DM3 mainboard running a 9900K (Vcore, 4 phase doubled) and assuming a 250W load, my calculations had these fets running very close to their recommended spec and nowhere near any peak or maximum operating condition. In the end the analysis was moot as the firmware safety limit is somewhere around 170W.

    does anyone know this hw mod for msi 1070 ????? it should be 150w ,but still need any ec mod ? this official frst beta card ,thanks for any info
    unfortunately I can't get a programmer, but this can be done :D
