RTX cards at the moment can’t be hardware flashed and work. You will have to use another manufactures vbios for now until the issue with hardware flashed RTX vbios are fixed.

Thx for the fast reply, so I can try the Asus bios mentioned in the other thread and flash it with Nvflash?

I wouldn't do cross flashing different vbioses on notebooks. The risk of frying your unit is too high in my opinion.

Hi guys, i have an MSI GS65 with a 1060, the tdp is 60W so i was trying to find a bios with a little higher TDP (70-80w), i found the razer but after i flash it the pc freezes after a while and doesnt detect the card well, so i went back to stock.

This is what GPU-Z shows after flashing razer or xiaomi vbios

I've found a lot of mobile bios but their size is 256kb and my stock bios is 166kb, if i flash one with bigger size would it be a problem? Thanks in advance.

What is your stock Device ID? I can't get my 1070 Max Q to read any other BIOS file either, I tried 50+ from techpowerup.

If you want to increase the TDP your best and only way is to revert back to a stock Vbios, get your self a trust worthy USB SPI programmer with an 1.8v adaptor and a SOIC test clip, then dump the VBIOS 3 times and checksum check that all 3 match. Then using the tool from here mod the vbios and flash back.

Flashing a Vbios from another OEM is not really advised as you can have issues like you've already had or worse a bricked device.

I flashed this one and it worked https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/214132/214132 . I actually have the MSI P65 8RE which is pretty much the same as the GS65. That bios says its the GS65 one but the TDP is 78W, the original one i thought it was 60W, i'm not sure now. Anyway, its working great. Thanks for your responses!
