    I believe that we can use the command prompt option is the f9 menu that comes up. the one for system recovery?

    Hash check it against a known good file.

    Depends on what you've done to the firmware and if the machine will boot in the compromised state.

    Really don't know. That was just an assumption that it could be possible. But for that the notebook needs to pass the bios check that you can choose the boot device.

    To flash a 1070 (laptop) bios over a Max-Q version, do I need normal nvflash or with Board Id Mismatch Disabled?
    If I dump my own vbios, and modify it with the tools to the same values from a normal (laptop) 1070, would it have the same effect as flashing the normal 1070 bios?

    Kinda but not really, and it's not recommended as you could end up frying the boards power delivery system, or it wont work at all, because most of the time, that is controlled by the actual boards power control subsytem

    Again I didn't say it was not doable I was just stating as above that the motherboard may have its own limits too
