I have flashed a new system Bios for Alienware 13 r3 1.7.0. just now (from Windows), and it has no problem/conflict with previously (3 months ago) programmer-flashed Vbios 110-130W for GTX1060.
Games still pull higher than 72W (default), in my case spiking to max. 105W at 1898Mhz/0.912V/+350 mem.

I come to thank the community, since it has been very easy to modify the vbios and begin to enjoy this additional power.

In case I can help the community, my laptop is the MSI GT72VR 7RE, it has a GTX1070.

The watts used in my modified vbios are between 151-170 and I have been able to control the temperatures using liquid metal. In games such as Battlefield 5, temperatures do not rise to 71ºC and maintain FPS with ULTRA configuration between 60-80 with DX11.

Wrap to avoid damage with liquid metal

Sorry, I cannot find the previous captures because I've been deleting them as I got the advances. I remember that the results barely exceeded 3800 after applying OC to the FSB bus and configuring the performance options in the NVIDIA panel.

Here are the results of an identical PC:

I tested it, and the heatsink is still Ok.

I repasted it nicely applying a thin layer in almost the full size of the chip, just enough to avoid the paste to run into the print circuit

That tape wont completely stop run off, a foam barrier would be the final barrier.

Finally I found a way to change the power limits of the mobile GTX 1050 Ti. It turned out to be harder than I thought. Power limits in VBIOS aren't explicitly indicated unlike GTX1060/1070 and desktop 1050Ti.

I will describe modification process in the future. So far I don’t quite understand what mean some of the values I have changed.

is it possible to flash a vBIOS of a desktop GPU on a laptop GPU from the same manufacturer?

I have an Aorus X5 V6 and I think my vBIOS is corrupted. Whenever I install my GPU driver the screen flickers with the color of the theme on windows and it goes blank.

I have to power cycle and then uninstall the GPU drivers to get the system to work.

System works fine with anything, even extreme CPU overclocks but cannot even handle windows when the GPU is enabled.

    Any suggestions?

No. Flash a copy of the stock vbios. If that doesn't work, RMA, it may be a hardware failure
