    Hi Everyone,

I just bought a mini-pci e ssd for my MSI u210. I installed it, but cannot get the machine to see it. Does anyone know how to get it to work. I would like to set is as my boot drive.

    thanks

Welcome to NBR! MiniPCIe SSDs might not be compatible with that netbook. AFAIK only a few netbooks support SSDs via the miniPCIe port. No notebook to date supports it. The reason is because there is no I/O controller connected to the miniPCIe port, so the computer cannot recognize the storage device. Conversely, the netbooks that can read these have a controller built in the netbook that is configured to read storage devices through the miniPCIe port.

I believe Samsung has a miniPCIe SSD w/ built in I/O controller. You'll have to search for it though, the details are somewhere in this forum (I think in the hardware subforum).
