I have been trying to run Memtest86+ v4 to check my RAM as i got 4 times BSOD already over the last week. it runs to all of my house mates computer but mine doesn't show any activities except a blue screen (check the attach files). what seems to be the wrong?

Try running it with only 1 piece of RAM installed at a time (I assume you have 4 X 2 GIG)

Random BSODs are a good sign of memory problems. MemTest 86+ will lock up like your screen shot shows if your computer is not stable. At least one memory module is probably failing. That's why JOSEA suggested that you test your system by trying to run MemTest 86+ with only 1 memory module installed at a time so you can see if one or both modules are causing the problem.

If only one is failing, it is still a good idea to replace them both so they are a matched set. If there is one good one, put it in your used parts drawer.

When you are in Windows, can you run the Prime95 - Blend test without it showing an error or locking up? Probably not. That's a good Windows based program to test your memory and CPU.

you are right. i made an USB bootable flash drive of memtest86+ with the version of 4.20. and it works. i don't believe that i got any problem with my 1month old laptop.
