    Hi all

I'm trying to upgrade my HP Pavilion x360 with more ram, but cannot find a trusted description regarding max capasity for this anywhere.

The model is a HP Pavilion X360 13-a087no

Some websites are saying 16gb and others are saying 8gb...
    - so I am a bit confused now, can anyone tell me for sure what the max capasity is for this laptop/notebook?

    12GB is max.

    here is the manual.
I assume they are soldered (thank apple for this trend) so upgrading will be difficult.

    12gb!!
    - That's a new one, I thought 8gb or 16gb. That is the only amounts I have read on different webshops/websites...

Thank you for the manual though, but it is for a different model...

The ram modules are not soldered on mainboard, on this model. I have taken the laptop apart, and the modules are located under the mainboard, but I had to take off the keyboard to get there...

Assumed it since it said "non upgradable". Wenn apaprently it says 8gb + 4GB is max on manual so yeah... odd indeed.

I think in this case non-user upgradeable means memory is so hard to access that regular users would probably have a great chance to break the laptop while trying to do it.

12GB is an odd one indeed (even if it for a different model). I would assume they have tested all the configurations and there is some limitation why that is the max.
