buddy is in coding as well, using MBP 15 but based on your size preference, top of the line 13 MBP with added ram and upgraded processor comes in at CAD $3249. Well within your budget and change for apple accessories.

    I am considering this laptop
    https://www.notebookcheck.net/MSI-P...5U-GTX-1050-Max-Q-Laptop-Review.403141.0.html
But I'm not sure if the CPU will be enough.

What do you think(compared to MBP 15)

Hmm... PS63 has a weaker CPU and you can see that from the charts in that review you had linked. Unfortunately I am not sure how demanding the "VMware" would be on the CPU but MBP15 starts off with 8750H which is already in a different category vs 8565U, latter being more lower power consumption to have better battery life. If you think this machine could work, just throw another stick of ram to bump it up to 32GB and saves 2/3 of your budget for other stuff.

If you are considering PS63 which is a 15.6" laptop then that opens up a whole lot of other choices. I like Gigabyte Aero 15 for the balance of performance and battery life.
