    hey guys sorry that i am a newbie, but iwas just wondering if 1900 is a reasonalbe price to ask for to a sales rep for a m18x with following specs:
    i7-3630QM
    6GB2 DDR3
    500GB 7,200 RPM SATA
    2GB GDDR5 AMD Radeon™ HD 7970M
    Slot-Loading Dual Layer Blu-ray Reader
    & 1 Year Accidental Damage Service

    everything else is base model.

    Is this dollars or pounds? I got quoted £1,849.74 and that's a much more powerful system (but no Blu-ray)

    but wow i wanted the 7970 crossfire with the 3740 but i didnt think i could that for the 1900 dollars price range

    Well, Marvin....as the US list price/website price is currently $2,298 for that configuration, I'd say $1900 is a pretty good deal. It's probably the most powerful machine available to you within your $1900 budget. Maybe other US guys could comment, but I'd say it's pretty sweet - saving $398 (or $498 if you include AW's automatic $100 discount) is not to be sniffed at :).

    Depending on your attitude towards buying from Ebay, there are a few machines on there with better specifications for around your budget - of course, they are not new....but you might save on sales tax, right?....not sure how that works in the US.

    As an example, there is is one: Alienware M18x R2 i7-3740|500GB|12GB RAM| Dual AMD 7970M|Windows 7 which has Crossfire 7970m's and the 3740qm that you wanted....warranty for about a year....more memory, no BR drive though.....decisions, decisions.....
