I have an M18x R1 that works great. The screen, however, is cracked. I'm having a difficult time finding a replacement screen I'm comfortable using. I'm not sure how much I love the idea of a used screen. Right now, mine doesn't have any burned out pixels. I'd have to get one with burned out pixels instead of the crack I have. I know they don't make the screen anymore so my options are pretty limited. But basically, what are my options? Are there any screens from other computers that are compatible with my computer? Is there any way to repair a cracked screen?

    Thanks

You can use either model screen from R1/R2.

Or any 18.4” Screen with 40 Pin

The M18 series and 18 R1 all used the same or similar revisions of the same screen, so any of those should be plug and play. Unfortunately, it doesn't have an eDP port so you're limited to 1080P 60

Would hooking up an external monitor to the HDMI out also be limited to 60 HZ?
    Thanks!

No, as long as it has a high enough spec. I think the one in the M18's was either 1.4-1.3, which should both handle up to 4K30 ish. Only the internal screen and VGA port are limited to 1080P60, as the HDMI and Display Port should be fine
